The DW iPhone Application

The current version of the app features articles with photos from DW-WORLD.DE, the audio live stream from DW-RADIO and a video live stream from DW-TV. It’s the best way to stay informed, no matter where you are.

Fifty thousand users worldwide are already using the “Deutsche Welle News Portal” to get their daily dose of global news. Version 1.3 is available in English, German, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.

The app can be downloaded for free from the iTunes Store. Please be aware that the costs associated with data transfer while using the “Deutsche Welle News Portal” may vary depending on mobile provider. Users should therefore consider a flatrate for data transmission.

You can install the “Deutsche Welle News Portal” on your iPhone or iPod Touch in five easy steps:

1. Click on the following link to access the app directly: Deutsche Welle News Portal. 
   If the link doesn’t open automatically, open iTunes and click on iTunes store in the navigation area on the left. You will find the “Deutsche Welle News Portal” under the category “News” in the App Store.
   
   
2. Click “Free App”.
   
   
3. To download you will need to have an Apple account or an AOL membership. If you don’t have an Apple ID; you can register for one. Log-in with your Apple ID or AOL user name.
   
   
4. Confirm the download.
   
   
5. After completing the download, synchronize your iPhone/iPod with iTunes. This will transfer the app from your computer to your device. Now, with just a touch of the finger, you can start using the “Deutsche Welle News Portal”.
